Kiss (of death) From a Rose
Apparently Pete Rose is in favor of Mark McGwire being inducted to the Hall of Fame. Regardless of what McGwire may or may not have injected into various parts of his body that may or may not have helped him hit a billion home runs, this can't be good for him.
If I were McGwire, I would have my agent call Rose and ask him to kindly STFU. I don't claim to know much about PR work, but having the one person most closely associated with the term "banned from baseball" as your most vocal public advocate probably hurts a bid for the hall more than it helps. If Rose is really serious about helping McGwire get in, he should do it by leaving him alone and staying out of it.

Talk about an asshole. He is obviously just trying to skew the Vegas odds on McGwire getting in the hall of fame. Peckerhead is going to get a payday.
I love Pete Rose. He was a great ball player and deserves to be in the hall. If Pete doesn't get in why should Big Mac? Hell he was better than McGwire.
See that opens up another can of worms. There is a grey area with voting someone in now. Is it the responsibility of the voters to keep immoral people out now or is it their responsibility to look at the stats and let the numbers do the talking? If Bart Giamatti didn't die when he did, it would probably be a moot point. Faye Vincent held a grudge and it could have ended quickly.
